Intro: FF7 Rebirth Platinum Is Proof You Played Everything
About 100 hours on PS5. I finally grabbed the platinum trophy 《Stellar Prayer》 — and since the two trophies that absolutely wrecked me were Johnny’s Memories and Chadley Overflow, I figured I’d write up my experience with those in particular.
I’m also throwing in a few other memorable trophies along the way, so if you’re going for platinum yourself, hopefully this gives you something useful.

🎖️ Trophy 1: Johnny’s Memories (Full Exhibit Collection)
Overview
- Condition: Collect every display item for Johnny’s Collection and report them
- Difficulty: ★★★★★ (genuinely brutal, no cap)
- Unlock rate: ~2.1%
What Makes It So Hard
The thing that makes this trophy such a pain is that it demands an insane range of skills. Most of the exhibit items are tied to S-Rank rewards from minigames, including:
- Dolphin Sprint (time attack)
- Photo Mode judging contest
- Shooting Coaster (sniping challenge)
- Queen’s Blood tournament win
…basically, you have to completely master every activity FF7 Rebirth threw into the game. It’s like they packed every minigame into a single trophy and said “good luck.”
Where I Struggled
- Some minigames have precision input requirements where scores are razor-thin
- Queen’s Blood AI suddenly goes from manageable to absolutely cheating
- Some exhibits are tied to missable quests that are easy to overlook
Personally, the Shooting Coaster S-Rank was the worst offender — targets are tiny, aiming drifts, and every retry costs you serious time. Not fun.
🎖️ Trophy 2: Chadley Overflow (Full Battle Simulator Completion)
Overview
- Condition: Clear all of Chadley’s Battle Simulators
- Difficulty: ★★★★★ (hardest tier possible)
- Unlock rate: Listed under 0.1%
The 10-Fight Gauntlet
Post-story simulations like “Sovereign of the Otherworld” are straight-up 10-fight chain battles. One wipe and you restart from scratch — which is absolutely ruthless.
Even with full prep, the AI can spike and kill you out of nowhere, so it’s part-RNG, part-repetition, all suffering. Classic cheese strat territory.
How I Got Through It
- “Twilight of the Gods” is mandatory — you need to open every fight with full ATB + Limit gauge ready to go brrrr
- Two accessories to cover status effects and prevent surprise wipes
- Tifa locked in as main combatant (burst DPS role — she goes OP once the burst phase hits)
- Summons used for time buying against specific enemies
Side note: grinding through this naturally brought me close to clearing “Transcendent One” (full HARD mode clear) too. Definitely an endgame-only trophy zone.
🌟 Other Trophies Worth Mentioning
🔹 Queens Blood King (Card Royalty)
Way deeper card game than I expected, ngl. The later opponents go full cheese strat against you, so you’ll need to completely rethink your deck setup before each major fight.
🔹 My Job Here Is Done (All Quests)
The volume is absolutely OP. Map sweeps, quests that only appear when hidden conditions are met — get your info sorted early or you’ll end up missing stuff. I cannot stress the checklist enough.
🔹 Critically Acclaimed (LOVELESS S-Rank)
Your choices and timing completely flip your score — which is exactly what makes it interesting. Wrapping a scoring system around that kind of theatrical performance is genuinely impressive game design.
🧠 Stress Points Summary
- Retry times on some minigames drag on way too long
- Trophy progress isn’t tracked anywhere in-game — you’re flying blind
- High accidental-death risk in the simulator gauntlets
- Exhibit collection conditions are mostly undocumented
- Queen’s Blood late-game power creep goes completely off the rails
📝 Final Thoughts: This One’s Only for the True Fans
FF7 Rebirth’s platinum isn’t just about “finishing all the story content” — it’s about squeezing every last drop of experience out of this world. Every minigame. Every card match. Every quest.
Ngl, I was absolutely exhausted by the end. But the moment I finally popped Johnny’s Memories and Chadley Overflow? Still a little proud of those, not gonna lie.
If you’re going for platinum, my best advice: start with what you enjoy. Trying to grind everything at once will burn you out fast. Take your time, pace yourself, and enjoy the ride — because when you finally see that platinum pop, it’s all worth it.
🎮 Must-Have Gear: How I Saved on a PS5 Controller
During my hardcore Platinum Trophy grinds, the rubber on my PS5 thumbsticks finally tore off. I was dreading spending another $70 on a brand new DualSense… but then I tried these thumbstick caps as a last resort.
Surprisingly, they fit perfectly right over the torn rubber! I saved the replacement cost and used that money to buy another new game instead (lol).
If your thumbsticks are starting to peel or fall apart, I highly recommend this cheap fix to extend your controller’s life before you buy a new one!
