The crown jewel that pops when you grab every other trophy. This is the full plat experience โ you’ll need serious patience and focus to clear every single challenge.
โ Bottom line: It’s the final boss of trophies. Earn everything else and this one’s yours.
Together Again (Gold โ โ โ โ โ โ)
Help the special bot at the very top of the golden bot statue. Getting up there is the challenge โ it’s a vertical platforming gauntlet.
โ Tip: You can’t even attempt this until you’ve rescued 300 bots AND collected all puzzle pieces. It’s a late-game locked trophy for real.
Memorable Feat (Silver โ โ โ โ โ โ)
Collect every single puzzle piece. Sounds chill, but pieces are hidden in stage edges and secret routes.
โ Tip: You’ll need patience and an eye for hidden paths. No brute-forcing this one โ exploration is key.
By Any Means Necessary (Silver โ โ โ โ โโ)
Rescue all bots in Gorilla Galaxy. The bots near tough enemies are the annoying ones.
โ Tip: Take out nearby enemies first before going for the rescue. Don’t rush.
Coin Crazy! (Silver โ โ โ โโโ)
Spin the Gatcha Lab 150 times. The grind is real โ coin farming gets repetitive fast.
โ Tip: Put on a podcast and zone out. It’s a classic grind trophy, ngl.
Unjam Slam (Bronze โ โ โ โ โโ)
Score a basket in the construction area. The jump timing is deceptively tricky and you’ll miss more than you expect.
โ Tip: Don’t rush it โ watch the basket position, time your approach, and commit to the jump.

Honestly? I went in thinking the collectibles would be a chore. But once I started grabbing puzzle pieces while clearing stages, I found myself going back to look for what I missed โ and that loop was actually… fun? There’s something weirdly satisfying about the backtracking in Astro Bot.
The puzzle piece placement is genuinely clever. Multiple times I had a โWait, it was THERE?!โ moment โ like finding hidden treasure. It’s that kind of game.

- Stage: Swing between ropes to reach the end.
- Danger zone: Enemies + glass floors + hazards in rapid succession. Stop even for a second and you get punished.
Strat: Non-stop jumping is the meta here. The moment you lose momentum you become a target. Speed is survival. Dodge the rope lasers by keeping your velocity up.
3. Jump Over! โ Spinning Ball Trial
- Stage: Dodge rotating iron balls with precise jumps.
- Danger zone: Irregular rotation speed + complex stage layout makes timing brutal.
Strat: Move in the SAME direction as the ball rotation to build rhythm. If you fall behind, use your laser to buy time. Don’t fight the spin โ flow with it.
4. Dodge! โ Rolling Boulder Trial
- Stage: Escape rolling rocks while clearing the stage.
- Danger zone: Rocks come fast and narrow ledges make split-second decisions hard.
Strat: Combo the Hover-Jump (flower dragonfly) + laser to weave around boulders. When rocks come down a vertical cliff, use your laser to arc over them. Versatility is key.
5. Splash Trial, Light Trial & More
- Stage variety: “Light It Up!”, “Soak It!”, “Jump Trial” โ each stage has a distinct gimmick mechanic.
- Hardest one: Splash Trial (Soak It!) is notorious โ you need to cool magma AND dodge missiles simultaneously. It’s the cheese strat boss of this game.
Strat: Aim the water item at magma with precision. One miss and it’s basically a reset. There’s no margin for error on this one โ practice the aim, not the run.
6. The Final Trial โ The GOAT Challenge
- Unlock conditions: Rescue 300 bots + collect ALL puzzle pieces + reach the top of the golden bot statue
- Stage: A special stage inside Astro Base Camp. One bot to rescue. The ultimate challenge.
- Why it’s brutal: Every single trial mechanic from the entire game gets thrown at you back-to-back. Timing, routing, and precision all maxed out simultaneously.
Strat: Muscle memory from all previous trials is your real weapon here. Zero margin for error โ find a quiet, focused environment before you attempt it. The bot rescue cutscene when you finally clear it? Chef’s kiss.
โ๏ธ Stage Structure Breakdown
- Speed Zone: Conveyor belt + spinning hammers + crumbling floors. One mistimed move = instant death.
- Precision Action Zone: Narrow platforms with chained jumps and switch mechanics. Ignore the gimmicks and the floor collapses.
- Continuous Attack Dodge Zone: Ceiling lasers and fireballs from the sides while you move. Camera angles will mess you up if you’re not used to them.
- Trap Mashup Zone: Magnet blocks, spinning balls, water streams, and ice floors all in one area. You need to know every gimmick’s behavior cold.
- Final Stretch โ Goal: Nearly no-miss-allowed jump gauntlet. Clear it and the golden bot rescue cutscene plays. That’s your win.

- It’s long with almost no checkpoints
- It demands both memorization AND reaction speed simultaneously
- One collapse mid-run = back to the very start (the mental toll is real)
- The final jump chain at the end is especially unforgiving

- First run = recon only โ Don’t try to win on your first attempt. Just memorize the layout.
- Memorize block by block โ Break it into Speed Zone, Jump Zone, Dodge Zone, etc. and visualize each separately.
- Drill the final stretch specifically โ Most players die on the ending jump chain, so farm that section alone.
- Full runs need full focus โ Breaking concentration leads to dumb mistakes in the early easy sections (ironic but true).
- Screenshot the clear! โ The victory cutscene + achievement pop is one of the best moments in the game. Capture it. You earned it.

- Use D-pad AND stick separately โ D-pad for micro adjustments, analog stick for angle changes
- Fail fast, restart fast โ Don’t stubbornly grind through a bad run. Restart quickly and stay in the zone

Astro Bot’s platinum is a true test of collection, exploration, and action all rolled into one. It’s genuinely a thick, meaty challenge.

Personally, getting Together Again might be the single greatest gaming moment I had this year. It’s the kind of thing you’ll remember forever.
